More than 20 OVELL A20PPGGG pumps are used for chemical dosing in a wastewater treatment project at an electronics factory in Jiangmen, China. This application shows how an air operated double diaphragm pump can form part of an industrial wastewater chemical-handling system.
Location: Jiangmen, China
Industry: Electronics manufacturing
Application: Wastewater treatment chemical dosing
Pump model: A20PPGGG
Quantity: More than 20 units (approximate)
Chemical addition is one part of a wastewater treatment process. In this project, the A20PPGGG diaphragm pumps serve the chemical-dosing application across a system using more than 20 units. The supplied photographs document the installed pumps and their surrounding pipework.

For a wastewater chemical-handling duty, selection should begin with the actual liquid and the required operating conditions. The chemical name, concentration, temperature, flow requirement and discharge pressure should be reviewed together with the wetted-component configuration. A model reference alone does not establish suitability for every treatment chemical.
The dosing requirement also matters. Chemical transfer and controlled addition should be distinguished from precision metering. Where a process requires a specified dosing accuracy, the complete pump-and-control arrangement needs to be assessed against that requirement.
For projects with multiple pumps, early coordination of the liquid connections, air supply, isolation arrangements and maintenance access helps define the installation requirements. The Jiangmen project provides an on-site example of A20PPGGG pumps used for chemical dosing in the electronics industry.
