From raw material transfer to filtration and filling, fluid handling plays an important role in coatings production. At CHINACOAT 2026, OVELL will present diaphragm pumps and discuss how pump configurations can be matched to different process fluids and operating conditions.
Air-operated operation: An air operated double diaphragm pump uses compressed air rather than an electric drive at the pump. For flammable fluids or hazardous areas, the complete installation still requires suitable equipment selection, grounding and compliance with applicable safety requirements.
Material options: Pump bodies are available in aluminum, stainless steel, PP and PVDF, with diaphragm options including NBR, EPDM, FKM and PTFE. Selection depends on the actual fluid composition, concentration, temperature and operating conditions.
Gentle transfer: AODD pumps can provide relatively gentle fluid transfer. The effect on foam formation and product stability depends on the formulation, pump speed and installation.
Service and cleaning: Accessible diaphragms and ball check valves support routine maintenance. Cleaning procedures should be matched to the fluid and the requirements for batch or color changes.
